9 truths to remember before you head to campus.
1. God goes before you.
… so take a deep breath and trust that He who is faithful will complete what He started (Deuteronomy 31:8).
2. God has ordained every detail of this year before you were formed in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:16).
… so don’t worry about tomorrow, live in the gift of today.
3. God has a plan that’s greater than your own.
… so embrace the redirection and closed doors as a means to His best (Romans 8:28).
4. God promises you the gift of His peace.
… so you can remain steadfast in the chaos because of the one who abides in you (John 14:27).
5. God can do more within you with your surrender than He can with your control.
… so release your agenda, and just walk deeply with Him (Matthew 6:33).
6. God doesn’t promise that it’s going to be easy, but He promises the proximity of His presence.
… so rest in His identity and activity in your life, not your feelings (Hebrews 13:5).
7. The choices you make this year will affect generations after you.
… so honor God in the places you go, the people you choose to hang out with, and the things you partake in (Ecclesiastes 11:9).
8. You are entering into one of the greatest mission fields of your entire life.
… so steward your influence well to live on mission in a place that is desperate to know the hope that is within you (Acts 20:24).
9. Pursue a degree to the glory of God but don’t forget that holiness is the goal.
… so fix your eyes on heaven (Hebrews 12:2).
