May we be a people who care more about the words of Jesus than the words of man.
There are a million voices, opinions, and catchphrases that we hear and see daily scrolling on the device you hold in your hand at this very moment. In all honesty, our words are often flawed and are not absolute truth. There’s only one that is and that’s the Word of God and the Word of God alone. It’s easy to read and believe something just because it’s a “Christian source” or influencer with a large following. But remember. No one is like our God. He is the only divine. His words are the only ones that stand true. The weight to carry all of the differing opinions, social media outlets, and algorithms is heavy. We weren’t meant to carry such. We were meant to rest in the revealed truths God has already given us— and it’s more than enough to stake our life on. If no one ever made another encouraging post again or made their stance on a subject, we are more than okay because we have the living and active word that is sharper than any two-edged sword and it satisfies the soul every single time. Jireh- you are enough. Your word is enough. Read the word. Treasure the word. Obey the word. Love the word. Live the word.
Remember this:
1. Filter everything through scripture.
2. Pray for wisdom and discernment.
3. Ask the Lord to set you apart and give you the desire to stand in truth even if it goes against the grain of this world.
4. Take the good and leave the bad.
5. Remain humble and always pursue peace.
