The Power of the Unfollow.

Social media can be both a huge asset and a huge detriment. It’s one place where with a click of a button you can share the goodness of Jesus with the entire world. Or on the other hand, with one click it can lead you into the deep waters of sin. What you feed will grow, and what you starve will die. So what are you feeding yourself through the people that you follow? If you follow the girl who photoshops her body, you will time and time again fall into comparison. If you follow your ex and it’s it’s unhealthy for you, you will never heal. If you follow the negative Nancy and Debbie downer, you will grow to have a negative spirit. If you follow the person who has it all, you may fall into jealousy. If you continue to follow the person who mistreated you, you will never break free from the hurt. It is possible to unfollow someone and there be no hard feelings, but rather feelings of love and deep care. Unfollow & pray for them. The disciples had to “unfollow” what was comfortable and popular to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Unfollow what doesn’t lead you to Jesus & follow those who lead you to His presence. Who knew one button could hold so much power? If the results of following someone lead to any kind of sin, hit unfollow. If the results of following someone lead you to anything besides becoming more like Jesus, hit unfollow. We are who we follow. Choose wisely.

“Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23
