A word on dating.
You’re either going to marry or break up with the person that you’re currently dating. So are you dating them in such a way that if y’all break up it can be healthy and helpful? Truth is, the person you’re dating may not be your husband or wife, but they will always be your brother or sister in Christ if you are a believer. Are you treating them as such? On the flip side, the person you’re dating might be the person you’re going to marry, so are you respecting him or her as your husband or wife? We live in a culture that doesn’t date to the glory of God. It’s toxic. We play marriage and our breakups are more like divorces. Contrary to what’s deemed as normal, two people can actually date and go their separate ways leaving each other better and grateful for the time spent together. Stop believing the lies that this cycle of dating that we are living in is holy. Jesus is not honored by our playing house and depression-worshiping breakups. God’s way is better.
