For the girl who is single on valentines day, yet desires to be in a relationship.

I’m like you too. I love a good rom-com movie or quite frankly any good love story. From Hallmark to Nicholas Sparks movies, to Troy Bolton and Gabriella. Our hearts are drawn to a love story like Hollywood. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that kind of love isn’t real. We live in a society that so desires to be loved. We go the farthest lengths to be. We settle for Mr right now while also praying for a man of God. We give our bodies away to any guy who wants it to find our value and worth instead of remembering the high price that Jesus has already paid for it. We idolize relationships instead of living secure and content in the season of singleness that God has us in. We live in a society that glorifies relationships, finding the one, and living happily ever after. Some even think that it’s wrong to be in your 20s and to not be actively dating. But what if we weren’t meant to date and date and date and date, but rather pursue holiness and allow God to bring us His person for us in His perfect timing and will? I know a story that tops all the Hollywood scripts & films and guess what… it’s actually real!!! This is a get the popcorn out kinda story and it’s straight from the pages of scripture. The story of Isaac & Rebekah is found in Genesis 24— GO READ IT!!! On this Valentine’s Day, know that God sees you and he knows your hearts desires, more than you do. But He loves you too much to give you something outside of His plan because he knows His is better. So wait for that better. And today, pursue the heart of God, celebrate those around you who already have found their Isaac, and ask God to prepare you for the love story that He’s already written for you up ahead.

For all my days, Eden b

Valentine’s day should remind us more about our relationship with Jesus than our relationship with any other human being.
